CEO & Co-Founder

Gary J. Langton is the CEO & Co-Founder of IntelliChief, a leading software company specializing in document management and workflow solutions for the improvement of mission-critical business processes such as accounts payable and order processing.

Prior to IntelliChief, Mr. Langton was CEO & Co-Founder of Quadrant Software, a successful company in the computer-based fax and electronic forms business. Gary founded Quadrant Software in 1990 with his business partner, Peter DePierro, and was instrumental in growing it from a fledgling business operating in a living room with 3 employees to a successful and profitable enterprise with over 90 employees operating in Boston, Tampa, and London. Quadrant Software was sold in 2010 to a consortium of private equity funds led by Candescent Partners of Boston.

Mr. Langton has amassed over 30 years of high-tech industry experience, beginning his career as a fast-path management trainee and a highly successful new business salesperson at IBM. During his career at IBM, Gary gained a comprehensive understanding of sales, marketing, and the impact of information technology on management processes. He was nationally recognized for his performance in mastering new business sales and won numerous awards for his achievements in Boston and New England.

While achieving great success in a big business atmosphere, Gary’s entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to use his understanding of the IBM System i computing platform and a gift for guerilla marketing and the art of salesmanship to assemble the team that would engineer what has become IntelliChief’s flagship document management and workflow product.

Gary has spoken on the topics of entrepreneurialism, leadership, building a sales force, guerilla marketing, and raising capital. He has received high marks for his enthusiasm, refreshingly candid humor, and down-to-earth advice. He has been a key speaker at forums throughout the country having addressed graduating classes, technology professionals, business leaders, and entrepreneurs alike. He has written several articles for industry trade publications including iSeries Magazine and the US and European editions of iSeries News.

Gary J. Langton

Mr. Langton is and has been informally on the board of advisors for several start-up technology companies, acting as a mentor on the subjects of raising funds, building a management team, managing growth, and dealing with internal and external partners. In addition, he was formerly a board member of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, the Business Council at Bridgewater State College and the Co-Op Advisory Board at UMass Dartmouth. He is regarded as an expert on building a company from the ground up with little investment capital and has helped many entrepreneurs achieve their dream of starting their own company.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and an MBA in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York at Albany.
