IntelliChief™ brings increased efficiency and significant cost savings to Wenger

Mansfield, MA (May 31, 2011)— IntelliChief LLC, the leading provider of Paperless Process Management (PPM) solutions for the IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS/400), today announced that Wenger Corporation has implemented IntelliChief to automate their accounts payable process and become more efficient throughout their company.
Overall, the goal of the IntelliChief implementation at Wenger Corporation was to reduce the time and effort involved with invoice payment. IntelliChief has enabled Wenger to significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to approve an invoice and return it to the Accounting Department for payment. “With IntelliChief, we’re able to handle existing workload and avoid the need to hire or shift additional resources to Accounts Payable,” said Joe Lutterman, IT Director of Wenger Corporation.

Wenger sought out IntelliChief after recognizing problems within their Accounting area, as invoices were all paper, making it difficult to find, route and organize them. Also, the approval process was a very time-intensive task, so Wenger Corporation decided to revamp their organization using the IntelliChief Paperless Process Management solution.
“Our invoices are loaded and indexed into IntelliChief, and they are automatically put through workflow to the approving manager — if approved, they are automatically put through to Accounting,” said Joe Lutterman, IT Director of Wenger Corporation. “For those purchase order invoices, the receiver and invoices are electronically matched, and then moved by IntelliChief to voucher.”
The initial IntelliChief implementation at Wenger Corporation included creating, capturing, processing, approving, and storing documents in their Accounts Payable process. “We found success in automation of the Purchase to Pay Process and at some time in the future we plan to select IntelliChief for the automation of our Order-to-Cash process,” said Joe Lutterman, IT Director of Wenger Corporation.
