System Requirements

The IntelliChief server and storage requirements vary by customer. The information below outlines the requirements for each of the major components within the IntelliChief system, however these components can exist on one server or be split into separate severs depending on the implementation. This flexibility allows you to scale the IntelliChief product to meet your company's needs today and in the future. IntelliChief Server


Hardware Requirements (minimum):

  • Dedicated server to use for the IntelliChief Application Server
  • Server level Quad-core Processor with at least 4GB RAM
  • The first hard drive (C:) is used for the Operating System and the IntelliChief applications, size must be at least 40 GB, high speed serial drive with RAID 1 or 5 is recommended.
  • The second hard drive is used for the IntelliChief Repository, size is based on number of documents (total storage is approximately 80k per page), SAN drive or high speed serial drive with RAID 5 is recommended.

Software Requirements:

  • Windows 2008 Server or Windows 2003 (must have SP 1 or higher).  Server can be 32bit or 64bit.  Standard versions with default CALs(5).  Recommend the latest service pack for all Windows operating systems.
  • FTP server (recommend using IIS FTP server)
  • IBM iSeries Access for Windows (Client Access)


Database Server


Hardware Requirements (minimum):

  • Separate SQL Server to host the IntelliChief databases.  The IntelliChief databases can be added to an existing SQL Server.
  • Server level Quad-core Processor with at least 4GB RAM
  • The first hard drive (C:) is used for the Operating System and the SQL Server applications, size must be at least 40 GB, high speed serial drive with RAID 1 or 5 is recommended.
  • The second hard drive is used for the Databases, size is based on number of documents (total storage is approximately 20k per page), high speed serial drive with RAID 1 or 5 is recommended.

Software requirements:

  • SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2005, 2000 (Standard version, Processor license (not CALs).  Recommend the latest service pack for all Windows operating systems and SQL Server.


IntelliChief Clients / Workstations For Thick Clients


Hardware Requirements:

  • Pentium 3-4 Processor with at least 1GB RAM

Hardware Requirements for Scanning client:

  • Pentium 4 Processor with at least 2GB RAM
  • USB port, USB interface cable

Software Requirements:

  • Scanning -> Kofax VRS (AIPE) Professional V3.5 and above

For Thin Clients


Software Requirements:

  • Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 are only supported
  • Java Runtime v1.6 for applet (if unavailable will be automatically downloaded)

Scanners


Fujitsu scanners are preferred. Exact Scanner models are determined at the time of Solutions Design.
